Flying Officer Neville (Pat) CARROLL was attached to the RAAF Central Flying School at Camden before he was accepted for air-crew. Only five weeks prior to the surrender by Germany to the Allies he lost his life flying a Stirling bomber detailed to carry out an operational mission over Germany when his aircraft crashed into the sea near Norfolk England.

His funeral with service honours took place on April 13 1945 at Cambridge Borough Cemetery England, he was age 23.
